หมวด ๑ การจัดตั้งและเปิดดำเนินการ

ชื่อสถาบันอุดมศึกษาเอกชนต้องใช้อักษรไทยและต้องใช้คำว่า “มหาวิทยาลัย” “สถาบัน” หรือ “วิทยาลัย” นำหน้าชื่อ ชื่อสถาบันอุดมศึกษาเอกชนจะใช้อักษรต่างประเทศด้วยก็ได้ โดยได้รับอนุญาตจากรัฐมนตรีโดยคำแนะนำของคณะกรรมการ
