ข้าราชการผู้ใดถึงแก่ความตาย ทุพพลภาพ พิการ หรือได้รับอันตรายสาหัสเนื่องจากเหตุดังบัญญัติไว้ในมาตรา ๕ มีสิทธิได้รับการเลื่อนขั้นเงินเดือนเป็นกรณีพิเศษ ทั้งนี้ ตามหลักเกณฑ์และวิธีการที่กำหนดไว้ในกฎหมายและระเบียบว่าด้วยการนั้น
