ในการจัดทำแผนแม่บทตามมาตรา ๖ (๑) ให้สำนักงานสถิติแห่งชาติประสานกับหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องและจัดทำให้สอดคล้องกับนโยบายและแผนการพัฒนาประเทศและเมื่อคณะรัฐมนตรีให้ความเห็นชอบแล้ว ให้หน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องปฏิบัติให้เป็นไปตามแผนแม่บทนั้น
