หญิงซึ่งจดทะเบียนสมรสแล้ว จะใช้คำนำหน้านามว่า “นาง” หรือ “นางสาว” ได้ตามความสมัครใจ โดยให้แจ้งต่อนายทะเบียนตามกฎหมายว่าด้วยการจดทะเบียนครอบครัว
