ให้ส่วนราชการ หรือหน่วยงานที่เรียกชื่ออย่างอื่นในมหาวิทยาลัยตามพระราชบัญญัติมหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ พ.ศ. ๒๕๓๐ ที่มีอยู่ในวันที่พระราชบัญญัตินี้ใช้บังคับคงอยู่ต่อไปจนกว่าจะมีการแบ่งส่วนงานภายในของมหาวิทยาลัย ซึ่งต้องดำเนินการให้แล้วเสร็จภายในสามปีนับแต่วันที่พระราชบัญญัตินี้ใช้บังคับ
