ข้าราชการในพระราชสำนัก แล้วแต่จะทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ พระราชทานตามพระราชอัธยาศัย แต่เมื่อเจ้าหน้าที่เสนอความชอบ ไม่ควรขอพระราชทานให้เกินกว่าชั้นยศที่เทียบกับข้าราชการฝ่ายอื่น
