การประเมินราคาทรัพย์สินและการจัดทำบัญชีราคาประเมินทรัพย์สินตามพระราชบัญญัตินี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อให้นำไปใช้เป็นเกณฑ์อ้างอิงหรือเป็นฐานในการจัดเก็บภาษีอากรและค่าธรรมเนียมจดทะเบียนสิทธิและนิติกรรมตามกฎหมายหรือเพื่อใช้ประโยชน์อย่างอื่นของรัฐ
