หมวด ๑ การจัดตั้ง วัตถุประสงค์ และหน้าที่และอำนาจ

ให้จัดตั้งองค์การขึ้นองค์การหนึ่ง เรียกว่า “องค์การสวนสัตว์แห่งประเทศไทย” และให้ใช้ชื่อเป็นภาษาอังกฤษว่า “The Zoological Park Organization of Thailand” เรียกโดยย่อว่า “ZPOT” และจะให้มีตราเครื่องหมายขององค์การตามที่คณะกรรมการกำหนดก็ได้
