ผู้ใดเป็นข้าราชการตำรวจตามพระราชบัญญัติตำรวจแห่งชาติ พ.ศ. ๒๕๔๗ และที่แก้ไขเพิ่มเติม อยู่ในวันก่อนวันที่พระราชบัญญัตินี้ใช้บังคับ ให้ผู้นั้นเป็นข้าราชการตำรวจตามพระราชบัญญัตินี้ต่อไป ผู้ซึ่งเคยรับราชการเป็นข้าราชการตำรวจอยู่ก่อนวันที่พระราชบัญญัตินี้ใช้บังคับ ให้ถือว่าผู้นั้นเป็นผู้ซึ่งเคยรับราชการเป็นข้าราชการตำรวจตามพระราชบัญญัตินี้
