ข้าราชการตำรวจผู้ใดถึงแก่ความตายเนื่องจากการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ราชการ ก.ตร. จะพิจารณาเลื่อนเงินเดือนให้ผู้นั้นเป็นกรณีพิเศษเพื่อประโยชน์ในการคำนวณบำเหน็จบำนาญก็ได้
