กระจกที่ใช้เป็นผนังภายนอก ประตู หน้าต่าง และช่องเปิดของผนังภายนอกของอาคารสูง อาคารขนาดใหญ่ และอาคารขนาดใหญ่พิเศษ ที่มีระดับความสูงตั้งแต่ชั้นที่สองขึ้นไป ต้องเป็นกระจกนิรภัยหลายชั้น เว้นแต่ช่องทางสำหรับการช่วยเหลือ ให้ใช้กระจกนิรภัยเทมเปอร์ และต้องทำเครื่องหมายช่องทางดังกล่าวให้เห็นอย่างชัดเจนทั้งภายนอกและภายในอาคารด้วย
