เมื่อผู้มีอำนาจเปรียบเทียบได้ทำการเปรียบเทียบกรณีใดแล้ว เมื่อผู้กระทำความผิดได้ชำระค่าปรับตามจำนวนที่เปรียบเทียบ ภายในระยะเวลาที่ผู้มีอำนาจเปรียบเทียบกำหนดซึ่งไม่เกินสามสิบวันนับแต่วันที่มีการเปรียบเทียบ ให้ถือว่าคดีเลิกกันตามบทบัญญัติแห่งประมวลกฎหมายวิธีพิจารณาความอาญา
