Section 4 พระราชบัญญัติเหรียญราชการชายแดน พ.ศ. 2497

เหรียญราชการชายแดนนี้มีลักษณะเป็นเหรียญกลม ทำด้วยโลหะสีทอง ด้านหน้ามีพระบรมรูปสมเด็จพระนเรศวรมหาราชกำลังทรงกระทำยุทธหัตถีกับราชศัตรู ด้านหลังมีอักษรจารึกว่า “เราปฏิบัติหน้าที่เพื่อเกียรติศักดิ์ไทย” ตัวเหรียญห้อยกับแพรแถบสีม่วง กว้าง ๓.๕ เซนติเมตร มีริ้วสีขาวใกล้ขอบทั้งสองข้าง ข้างบนมีเข็มโลหะรูปคทาจอมพลจารึกอักษรว่า “ราชการชายแดน”
