(๑) ตาย
(๒) ลาออก
(๓) คณะกรรมการ ก.ล.ต. มีมติให้ออก
(๔) เป็นผู้ขาดคุณสมบัติหรือมีลักษณะต้องห้ามตามมาตรา ๑๖๐ เมื่อกรรมการตลาดหลักทรัพย์พ้นจากตำแหน่งก่อนวาระ ให้คณะกรรมการ ก.ล.ต. แต่งตั้งหรือสมาชิกตามมาตรา ๑๕๘ เลือกตั้งบุคคลอื่นเป็นกรรมการตลาดหลักทรัพย์แทน แล้วแต่กรณี
