ให้คณะกรรมการตลาดหลักทรัพย์เป็นผู้แต่งตั้งผู้จัดการตลาดหลักทรัพย์โดยให้ได้รับเงินเดือนและประโยชน์ตอบแทนอย่างอื่นตามที่คณะกรรมการตลาดหลักทรัพย์กำหนด ผู้จัดการตลาดหลักทรัพย์มีวาระอยู่ในตำแหน่งคราวละไม่เกินสี่ปี และอาจได้รับแต่งตั้งอีกได้
