สภามหาวิทยาลัยอาจแต่งตั้งผู้ซึ่งมีคุณสมบัติเหมาะสมและมิได้เป็นคณาจารย์ประจำของมหาวิทยาลัย เป็นรองศาสตราจารย์พิเศษ ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์พิเศษ และอาจารย์พิเศษได้ คุณสมบัติและหลักเกณฑ์ในการแต่งตั้งรองศาสตราจารย์พิเศษ ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์พิเศษ และอาจารย์พิเศษตามวรรคหนึ่ง ให้เป็นไปตามข้อบังคับของมหาวิทยาลัย
