(๑) ตาย
(๒) ลาออก
(๓) รัฐมนตรีหรือผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดซึ่งมีอำนาจแต่งตั้ง แล้วแต่กรณี ให้ออก
(๔) เป็นคนไร้ความสามารถหรือคนเสมือนไร้ความสามารถ หรือ (๕) ได้รับโทษจำคุกโดยคำพิพากษาถึงที่สุดให้จำคุก เว้นแต่เป็นโทษสำหรับความผิดที่ได้กระทำโดยประมาทหรือความผิดลหุโทษ
